Elitism is:
Quote:
"consciousness of or pride in belonging to a select or favored group."

That favored group is our guild. We expect you to have pride in your guild and what it is doing, or setting forth to do. We expect you to understand that not all WOW players are created equal. Pressing buttons is harder than one would expect for some people and we as Elitists don't want you in this guild if you can not press buttons and think at the same time.

We are a not a hardcore raiding guild with no room for more casual players however. We pride ourselves on being a group of working adults that wish to succeed in the gaming world Blizzard has aportioned to us, while still having fun and not dedicating all our waking lives to the game.

We have two Major yet seperate groups you can join within our ranks. When applying to the guild we ask you to define whether you want to be a RAIDER or a CASUAL. If you apply for raider certain things will be expected from you in order to keep your raiding status which I will discuss below. If you apply for CASUAL you will not have nearly as much expected from you as I will also explain below.

Raiders: people that wish to progress their way through end game content while having fun and being organized.

Raider Requirements:
Your gear must be up to par with whatever content we happen to be working on. You will be expected to give proof of your raiding gear through the armory upon applying. These requirements will obviously be raised over time. However, SKILLED players are valued over gear so don't feel like that is all we care about.

You will be responsible for making 70% of our raid nights. If we don't have consistent, skilled, and well prepared raiders then we can not hope to progress.

You are required to bring flasks/potions/food/oil and other consumables relevant to your classes needs in order to raid with us. Not being flasked, well fed, and weapon oiled where applicable for a boss fight is a sure way to not get invited to future raids or demoted to casual.

You will have to have OMEN threat meter, Ventrilo Voice Communication Program, and Deadly Boss Mods (or Big Wigs) installed on your computer and have the skills to make macros needed in certain raids to aid in guild progression.

You will be compliant with the Raid Leaders wishes concerning group makeup for the raids. If this is a problem, then don't apply. Raid Leaders will be held accountable for their actions on the message boards or to a guild officer, not whined about in game (guild chat, tells, or other areas). If you are asked to step out of a raid, 99% of the time it is due to class composition needs. Do not take this personally. We do offer dkp for being on our wait list as long as you check in with the Raid Leader or another officer after we kill each boss. This is to make sure that you are available when we need to pull you into the raid from the wait list, and to be fair to you for showing up ready to raid by awarding you with dkp for waiting.

You will have to prove through a 3 week (we reserve the right to extend this to a longer period of time if we deem necessary) trial basis that you can keep up with your class-mates whether it be by healing /dps-ing/tanking or just paying attention and following simple directions. If you are found incompetent (unable to make changes, follow directions, or keep up with other members of your class) you will be asked to join our casuals or leave the guild.

Since you play more and have earned priority for raid spots over casual members, you will be earning more DKP and be entitled to gear over Casuals. That's our thanks to you for taking the time and working hard to help us progress.

Although we only require you to participate in 2 out of 3 raids a week, we want raiders who will be dedicated enough to be at every raid unless an emergency comes up. If your schedule doesn't allow you to make 3 raids per week please mention that with the day and reason you won't be able to attend when you apply. If you must go on leave you may do so as long as you inform us of your departure.

Casuals Requirements:

Our Casuals may be some of our most loved members. We understand that not everyone can dedicate 2 nights a week plus whatever it takes to farm mats for progression so we leave room for you here.

You have to be able to understand that you will not be allowed in main night (tue, th, sun) raids unless there are no raiders to field that class spot. If you do get in a raid you may be asked at any time to step out for a raider.

We are currently running Casual ToC25 runs where everyone is welcome. The day is penciled in every week and we have been running it on Sundays, but as more content becomes available in ICC we might be moving it to Monday. Raiders alts are also welcome to this run.

Casual status is basically friend of the raider status. If you don't care to spend the time to raid you can still find a place in our guild just don't expect to go to a 25 man we are working on during the main raid nights.

You will be awarded DKP and be able to spend it the same as any raider can if we do need you for a main night raid, however your spot in raids are not guaranteed, and so you will have a lot harder time building your DKP up enough to outbid the Raiders.

Please consider our raid times before applying. RAID TIMES
